Director of Family Economic Security Program/Grant Manager of SNAP and Forward Program
Office Hours: Monday – Friday: 9 AM – 5 PM
Alese’s professional experience includes 10 years in Higher Education working in Residence Life, Student Services, Advising, Student Activities and First Year Programs. She has 5 years in state grant management experience with Job First Employment Service and Empowering People for Success Programs. She holds a Master in Counseling from Central Connecticut State University, and has her bachelor’s from Southern Connecticut State University. In her spare time, Alese loves to travel, bake, and spend time with her husband and two daughters.
Career Development Coordinator

Widelyne comes to us with experience from the Department of Labor, Middlesex Community College and CONNTAC, Inc. Widelyne has a Master in Counseling from Central Connecticut State University and a degree from Southern Connecticut State University. In her free time Widelyne enjoys working out and traveling.

Daniela has experience working at the University of Bridgeport, Norwalk Community College, Barnard College, and Columbia University’s Teachers College. She has worked with TRIO programs and interned at NCC’s FESP. She holds a Master in Higher and Postsecondary from Columbia University, Teachers College, a bachelor’s from the University of Bridgeport and is an alumna of HCC. In her free time Daniela enjoys hiking, and spending time with her two toddlers.
Office Hours: Tuesday: 9 AM – 4:30 PM, Thursday: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM, Friday: 9 AM – 3:30 PM
Vanessa has experience working at Family Reentry, Covenant House Faith Community, and University of New Haven. Vanessa has her Master of Social Work from Simmons College and a bachelor’s from the University of New Haven.
Office Hours: Tuesday, Thursday: 4:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Medina has experience at HCC in several offices, including advising and registrar services. During the day, she is one of the Academic Advisors at HCC’s Counseling and Advising Office. She has been at the college for over 20 years and calls it her second family. Medina is currently working on her bachelor’s degree at Charter Oak College, and holds her Associates from HCC. Dancing, praying, and loving her grandson are three activities that she enjoys doing in her spare time.
