Biography

Dr. Hughes has served on the faculty of Yale College (English), Yale Divinity School (Homiletics), and the University of Pennsylvania (Comparative Literature & Rhetoric) teaching writing, literature and public speaking.

A founding member of the Healthcare Communication Group, Dr. Hughes has worked as an executive coach training physicians, scientists and healthcare professionals nationwide. His publications include: Multicultural Training Skills in Healthcare (2004), and Increasing Patient Loyalty; Improving Patient Compliance (2000). He also contributed to Writing, Speaking and Communication Skills for Health Professionals published by the Yale University Press, which the American Medical Writers Association awarded their 2002 Best Allied Health Book Award.

Dr. Hughes currently lives in New Haven, Connecticut, where he continues to teach advanced English composition, speech, world literature, and pro-seminars in teaching.
