Solidworks

In SOLIDWORKS, you will learn the fundamental tools and concepts for the SOLIDWORKS engineering and design software. SOLIDWORKS is one of the largest computer-aided design (CAD) software globally used across numerous industries including manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, defense, medical devices, robotics & automation, consumer products, construction, and many more! The course will give individuals the skills and knowledge of how to make simple parts and assemblies with their corresponding drawings to drafting standards. The course will have guided tutorials going over key topics, such as how to create solids, methods of designing, how to make an assembly, and how to create a drawing to industry standards. Individuals in this course will have the opportunity to work very closely with the CNC Machining course to help simulate a real-world manufacturing shop environment. The individuals can expect to work on creating more complex parts, assemblies, and drawings needing more detail. Another component of the course is learning about some of the other features Solidworks has to offer for those needing to design parts.
