Biography

Kyle Pepin is an Associate Professor of Manufacturing Technology and serves as Chair of the Engineering & Technology Department at CT State Community College Housatonic. In this role, he teaches classes within the advanced manufacturing certificate program and the engineering science pathway. Additionally, he advises students in these academic disciplines and provides leadership to department staff and faculty. Mr. Pepin also serves as coordinator for all high school dual credit programs in advanced manufacturing. Being department chairperson, Mr. Pepin is a main point of contact at CT State Community College for computer aided design (CAD), 3-D printing, the engineering and manufacturing programs, and the college’s machine shop.

Mr. Pepin's career commenced with seven years of industry experience in manufacturing engineering with three companies in Connecticut. During this time, he began teaching engineering classes as an evening adjunct at Connecticut community colleges before eventually deciding to become a full-time professor. He has also garnered extensive expertise in tutoring and instructing students in various subjects, including math, physics, engineering, and manufacturing. He is an advocate for technical trades and STEM disciplines, recognizing them as lucrative and rewarding career paths focused on skills.
