International Center for Supplemental Instruction
Heather has been a Certified Trainer for the International Center for Supplemental Instruction (SI) since 2019. During her four years at UMKC, she held the positions of Tutoring Coordinator and SI Coordinator. In 2022, after moving back to the East Coast, she became an SI Associate. She is delighted to continue contributing to the SI community. She has a particular passion for growing regional SI groups/conferences to increase support for SI programs.
Heather currently works for the University of Saint Joseph in Connecticut as the Director of Academic Support Services, overseeing their advising, tutoring, and peer mentoring programs. Before her move to UMKC to get involved in SI, Heather worked in student-athlete academic support at Binghamton University. Prior to that, she obtained a bachelors in biology, a masters in anthropology, and a masters in secondary education at UAlbany.
