Academic Support

People who find success in their lives most often feel supported by and connected to their “community.” The Academic Support Center at Housatonic provides a wide range of services including, academic tutoring, study groups, disabilities services, the Writing Center, placement testing, and more.

Academic Advising

To ensure that your studies at Housatonic run smoothly, you will be assigned an academic advisor who will help you choose programs, courses, and advise you about other academic matters. HCC academic advisors will help you feel at home and comfortable.

Counseling

If you are having problems and need someone to talk to, there are experienced counselors on campus who will provide you with a variety of services that can assist you in resolving problems and concerns that may impede your academic performance.

Career Services

Engaging in the career planning process and obtaining relevant work experience are critical elements to a successful college experience. Career Services exists to assist students and alumni to reach their career goals by providing the knowledge and tools necessary to succeed in the workforce. The career counselors at HCC can help you plan career goals, assist you with transferring to a four-year institution, and offer job seeking assistance such as resume building.
